Temple Mezzanine
Project Details
Location: Selma, NC
This project included the construction of a new, fully finished interior mezzanine designed to expand this church’s seating capacity by approximately 200 additional occupants. The mezzanine was integrated into the existing building’s framework, and makes up 1,750 square feet. Tiered seating provides clear sightlines, and code-compliant guardrails, handrails, and accessible egress pathways were added for the safety of the congregation. Mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems were extended to serve the new mezzanine level with proper ventilation, acoustics, and illumination for occupant comfort and functionality. Fire protection and emergency lighting were also incorporated, as required. The aesthetic matches the existing sanctuary, including coordinated flooring, wall treatments, and ceiling elements to create a cohesive and welcoming environment.
