The White Oak Foundation, Inc., WOF, is hard at work keeping families in their homes by saving them from foreclosure, educating potential homebuyers and renters, ensuring that families have food to eat through bi-monthly Food Bank distribution and tri-weekly hot meals to seniors, providing scholarships to those seeking to prepare for the future, and providing assistance with utilities bills and other financial hardships. The location for this project was chosen for its proximity to the original church facility, and G&G Builders constructed a shell building for this organization using load-bearing masonry with a wood-truss roof, as well as an elevator for the convenience of the workers and staff as they maneuver materials from one part of the building to another.
